About RACV Royal Pines Resort
RACV Royal Pines Resort is the Gold Coast’s premier residential conference venue – a five-star, 333-room resort at Benowa with 15 event spaces, a championship golf course and everything a multi-day conference needs in one location. Unlike city hotels, delegates stay, meet, dine and unwind without leaving the resort, which makes it especially popular for national conferences and incentive programs. If you’re looking for an event photographer at RACV Royal Pines, here’s everything worth knowing about the venue..
The resort’s headline feature is the Royal Benowa Ballroom’s 24-metre LED screen – the largest hotel LED screen in the Southern Hemisphere – backed by a multi-million-dollar AV fit-out that has made Royal Pines one of the most technically capable event venues in Queensland.
Event Photos Australia photographs conferences, gala dinners and awards nights across the Gold Coast, including at Royal Pines.

Royal Benowa Ballroom
The feature venue – a 1,500 sqm pillarless ballroom with 7.7-metre ceilings, holding up to 1,500 theatre style or 1,800 cocktail. Home to the largest hotel LED screen in the Southern Hemisphere (24m wide x 4m high), plus motorised production cameras, laser projection and concert-grade audio. Divisible into three rooms – Prince, Monarch and Marquis – each holding roughly 280-500 guests. Direct access to the light-filled Royal Benowa Foyer for registration, catering and sponsor displays.

Events at RACV Royal Pines Resort
Royal Pines hosts an impressive calendar of national conferences and major events, including the Caravan Industry National Conference, the MOGA Annual Scientific Meeting, the Australian Elder Abuse Conference (Stand Up Speak Out), the Consultant Pharmacist Conference and the ACCA Annual Conference. It’s also the long-time home of the Australian PGA Championship, played on the resort’s golf course each year.
Event Photography at RACV Royal Pines Gold Coast
The 24-metre LED screen is a spectacular asset for event photography – when stage content is well designed, it creates dramatic wide shots you simply can’t get at other venues. It does require a photographer who knows how to balance screen brightness against room lighting. As a Gold Coast event photographer team, we shoot regularly at LED-heavy venues like this one.
The Royal Poinciana Room and the resort grounds are the natural light stars. Golf course backdrops, landscaped gardens and the pool precinct all work beautifully for delegate portraits, team photos and social coverage between sessions – a genuine advantage of a resort venue over a city hotel.
