Conference and Awards Photography at Centrepiece and Crown Melbourne: MFAA National Conference 2026
20 years photographing the MFAA. How we covered a conference, awards night, headshots and more across two venues in two days.
We've photographed the MFAA for 20 years. For one of those years, they used a different supplier. The photos weren't up to standard, and they came back. That's not a line from a sales page, it's just what happened, and it's probably the clearest proof we can offer that our work holds up.
Five state awards, one national stage
The National Conference and Excellence Awards aren't a standalone booking. We cover the MFAA's state awards across Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne throughout the year, and the winners from each state are the ones who go on to attend the National Awards. By the time we're in the room for Nationals, we've usually already photographed a good number of the people walking the red carpet.
Two days, four events
This year's program ran across two venues over two days. Day one opened with the Women in Finance event, sponsored by Bankwest, followed by the welcome reception that evening. Day two was the conference itself at Centrepiece in Melbourne, where we also ran Event Headshots for delegates between sessions. That night, everyone moved to the Crown Palladium for the National Excellence Awards.

Running Event Headshots alongside a full conference day means working around the schedule, not against it. Delegates could step away between sessions, get a proper professional headshot, and be back in their seat before the next speaker started. No separate booking, no extra time out of their day.

At the National Excellence Awards, the media wall ran on our Event Photos Plus system, delivering photos to guests instantly rather than asking them to wait for a gallery link after the night. For an audience that includes brokers and lenders from every state, many of whom only see each other once a year at this event, a photo they can share immediately matters more than one that turns up a week later.
