Perth Conference Photography
Event Photos has provided Perth Conference Photography for a number of small and large events since 2004. Perth hosts some great events and conferences and the CRT Conference was no exception. Guests began the conference with a welcome reception at Fraser’s Function Centre for networking and entertainment during the evening.
Day 2 started early with a sit down breakfast at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) where delegates enjoyed a hot breakfast before getting straight into the business end of things. The conference finished with special guests Sir Ian Botham, Allan Border & Mel Jones – all great cricketing legends for a Q&A. Before heading to the exhibition, delegates were given the opportunity to have their photos taken with the 3 guest speakers on stage which we provided a fast and efficient service to capture the special moment.
As the conference was taking place we had a secondary photographer capturing all the exhibition stands before delegates arrived – a special request by the client. During an exhibition it’s important to capture guests not only walking around the exhibition but capturing engaging photos interacting with exhibitors and images that can promote future events.
Having two photographers allowed us to capture images using off camera flash (ocf), this creates a much more flattering light and can give some nice depth to the image. Here is an example below.
The first evening event was the Supplier Awards Dinner which was also held at the PCEC with pre dinner drinks served in the foyer and contortionists on pedestals performed for guests. As black curtains were then pulled back to reveal the room and aerial performers entertained guests as they enjoyed their entrée.
The final day of the conference we setup a mobile studio setup with a media wall to capture formal award photos for media and PR distribution but also headshots for members. Headshots at events has become a popular trend in recent years not only members of associations because they are already onsite but also for delegates as it’s a great take away from an event that is useful (because we already have hundreds of free branded pens!).
As the conference came to a close, it was time to get ready for the Gala Awards Dinner which was held offsite at the Crown Ballroom where guests were given hats and feather boas to suit the room theme. The highlight of the night was definitely a performance by comedian Arj Barker with a stage set amongst guests and closing performance by musician Pete Murray.
